Carolyn Dority
Carolyn was born in Lee County and has lived here all of her life. She graduated from Ashwood-Central High School in 1972.
She and her husband Frank have been married for 34 years and have one daughter, Cristin, who is a 1998 graduate of Robert E. Lee. She is married to Charles Beasley and they live in Lee County. During the years that Cristin attended REL, Carolyn was on the PTL board and was a substitute teacher and worked here at the REL daycare.
She has worked in education for the past 20 years: three years in the public schools and the last 18 years at REL, and she is now a K5 assistant.
She has attended classes and received certificates for classroom training. Some of the courses include Early Childhood Growth and Development and State Requirements and Regulations for Daycare. These courses were offered through University of South Carolina and Central Carolina Technical College. The last courses that she took were part of the First Steps Program here in South Carolina.
She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she is the director of the WMU organization. Her other interests include decorating and planning for showers and wedding receptions, directing weddings, designing floral arrangements, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys people and working with children.
