Mrs. BeBe Beasley

bbeasley@releeacademy.org

This year marks her 27th year of teaching K-5. She graduated from Coker College in 1975 with degrees in early childhood and elementary education. She has eight years experience in the public schools in the Hartsville area and 19 years at Robert E. Lee Academy.

When she had her children, Amy and Matt, she took a break from teaching to stay home with them. When Amy was in K-5, she also took the K-5 teaching position. Amy graduated from Clemson University in May 2006 and Matt is a student there now.

She also has two stepsons, Scott and Todd, of whom she is very proud. They both graduated from REL and Francis Marion University in the 1980s. They both have families and live in Hartsville.

Their father and her husband, Wayne Beasley, passed away in February of 2000 from renal cell cancer. We had just celebrated our 25th anniversary.

She continues to live in their home in Stokes Bridge Community, and she really enjoys living in the country. Her hobbies include walking, reading, and being involved with her family.

She is also an active member of Hebron United Methodist Church where she teaches Sunday school. Her  faith is a very important part of her life and definitely the source of her strength and happiness.

"I seem to enjoy teaching more and more each year, and I attribute this to the fact that Robert E. Lee has managed to maintain a family-like atmosphere with its many wonderful people and to be devoid of the many problems and complexities that seem to plague the public schools."
