Laurie is married to Tim Anderson and has two daughters.  She is a lifelong resident of Bishopville.  They are members of First Baptist Church of Bishopville.   She attended REL from K5 until she graduated in 1987.  She received a BA in Elementary Education from Coker College and a M. Ed. in Reading Education from the University of South Carolina. She also has a Specialist's Degree in Reading.  She has taught 2nd grade for four years and is now teaching 1st grade at REL.  She taught for nine years at Bishopville Primary School. 

She enjoys reading, riding horses, and spending time with her family.
