Mrs. Laura Copeland
Laura (Lolly) Copeland graduated from Winthrop University with a BS degree in Elementary Education. She received her Master's degree at USC. She has taught grades 1-6 in Hampton County Schools which include Varnville Elementary, Hampton Elementary, and Patrick Henry Academy. She has two children, Chip and Kimberly, and three grandchildren. She is married to Bubba Copeland and has been in Bishopville for the last two years where she taught 2nd grade at Bishopville Primary School. Lolly retired from public school this past year and is delighted to be with the Robert E. Lee Academy this year teaching 4th grade.
Lolly's favorite pastime is spending time with her grandchildren at her beach house in Bluffton, SC where they crab, shrimp, and stay on the river. She enjoys dancing and is a member of the Hilton Head Shag Club. She and her husband are members of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Bishopville. Lolly is a member of the Bishopville Music Club and enjoys the various music concerts presented at the Opera House throughout the year. She loves to relax with a good book.
