Mary Ellen McCutchen Mrs. Mary Ellen McCutchen, originally from Eagleville, Tennessee, has taught at Robert E. Lee Academy since the fall of 1990. She earned her Associate of Art degree from Martin College in Pulaski, TN and her Bachelor of Art degree from Scarritt College in Nashville, TN. She earned her Masters of Education from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. She studied art at Ilona Royce Smithkin in New York City and also at Robert Brackman in Connecticut. She worked for three years for the Board of Missions of the Methodist Church including two years at Mather Academy in Camden, SC. She also taught for 10 years in Sumter District II before coming to REL. Her family lives in many places all around the US, including a sister in Salt Lake City, Utah and a brother in Bardstown, Kentucky. Her husband, Gene McCutchen, is deceased. Her hobbies include painting, woodworking, and gardening. |
