Mark Doty

Mr. Mark Doty graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Virginia Military Institute. He has studied at Bren Mawr College, Clemson University, University of South Carolina, and Central Carolina Technical College, earning graduate hours. He was commissioned in the US Army and attained rank of Captain before separating from Active Reserves after 10 years of service.
He has been teaching at Robert E. Lee Academy since 1989 and has taught 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade sciences, including Chemistry and Physics. He has four children and two grandchildren and enjoys fishing, theater, and square dancing.
