Elementary
and Middle school put on a "Country" Show
On May 7th, the elementary school students performed a different "country" concert. Their's was a concert filled with patriotic songs and narrations that took us back to a different time in our country's history: WWII to the 1950's. The children sang the Battle Hymn of the Republic, Splish Splash, and a fun 50's medley that left the crowd smiling!

the funny pictures as much as the students.

During the month of
October, Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Eva's kindergarteners used pumpkins
to study estimation, weighing and measuring. They wrote and
illustrated "Pumpkin Books" to record their estimations and the
actual weights and measurements of their pumpkins. After
working with the pumpkins all week, the students painted their
pumpkins to celebrate Halloween! Also, the students carved a
jack-o'-lantern. They learned about different products made
from pumpkin and sampled toasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin pie!
They used the jack-o'-lantern to listen to spooky stories!
Later, they ended the Halloween season with a wiener/
marshmallow roast, apple bobbing and games. The school party
was a huge success with plenty of good food, face painting and
games!
