2007 Update: Wow! Look at all of the work that has taken place at REL. Thanks to the contributions of the CCC, the school has new roofs on all the buildings; the boys' restrooms in the administration building have new a new floor and stalls; the high school boys' restroom has a new floor; new visitor's bleachers on the football field have been installed; the administration building has new a new floor; and the much anticipated air conditioning has been installed in the gymnasium! These improvements could not have happened without your generous giving! Thank you!! The Original Vision of the CCC In the fall of 2005, the Cavalier Capital Campaign was initiated to generate funds in order to meet the present and future needs of Robert E. Lee Academy. The master plan for Robert E. Lee Academy was designed to provide maximum utilization of existing buildings and new construction while providing a safe learning environment. The funds raised from this campaign have enabled our school to begin the process of obtaining the physical, educational and technological growth that is needed to compete in the 21st century. We want to continue to fulfill our vision for the future, but in order to do so, we need your support. Please consider making a pledge commitment. Summary of Cavalier Capital Campaign
Figures above are estimates only. Actual costs may vary.
Thank you, Payne Family REL Alumni Mark Payne ’76, Scott Payne ’78 and Jeff Payne ’81 recently donated 6 shares of First Citizens Bank stock to the Cavalier Capital Campaign in memory of their parents, Ann and Ronnie Payne. The Paynes were two of the dedicated people that built REL. While Mr. and Mrs. Payne served different tenures on the Board of Directors, Mrs. Payne was the first woman to serve and also worked in the school office for no monetary compensation. We are very thankful for the Payne’s vision over 40 years ago of giving children a firm foundation of education and knowledge. Their sons’ generous contribution helps us continue that vision.
